I think your 2015 ones are a bit of an outlier. They were probably very wise to get off that sinking ship before it took them down with it.

Duran was always agitating and we got a brilliant price.Luiz may have (though it appears he regrets it now) but Duran would have stayed if he'd been used properly. Sell Martinez and should his replacement not work, Emery and his staff will rightly face the brunt of fans anger. Blame PSR all you want, but constant talk of selling all of our players and then selling below market value is a completely short-sighted policy.

Loyalty wasn't amongst his qualities
Him going or staying could depend entirely on us qualifying for the EC. Finish 4/5 and he stays.
TYC Sport is reporting Aston Villa FC have received offer around €120m for Argentine goalkeeper, Martinez from three major clubs in Europe and Saudi Arabia club. But it's less likely DIBU will join Saudi Arabia as is less attractive. Likely to stay in Europe in readiness for the 2026 World Cup.
No player is irreplaceable, and that includes Emi.However, I love the guy to bits, I don’t want him to go, and it’ll be absolutely heartbreaking - as it was with Jack - if he does. These PSR rules are absolutely mental. We’ve sold £200m worth of players in the last 12 months, or thereabouts. We haven’t spent that much. How the fuck do we end up having to sell more of our best players this summer to stay “sustainable”?
