Because they have to leave us - because an accountant decided it

Accountancy is a noble profession. There's no need to cast aspersions on it with unfounded allegations.
Mate - Im a software developer - no one wants to see football clubs relegated due to not meeting web accessibility standards

Nobody ever called us developers noble, though. Well, maybe without the le

Just logged into Facebook and saw that tap-in Fabrizio says he’s going, and it’s confirmed by his agency.

Gutted. Martinez was the embodiment of our revival and surge through the table. He loved it here and we loved him too. For many, he was the first truly genuine world-class player that many would have seen at Aston Villa

If this is a PSR sale, it’s ridiculous. How can we get to our position and have to sell players? 1/4 finalists in the CL, currently 5th in the Premier League?

Very very sad in my opinion.

Where does he say that?  The most recent thing on his Twitter is

Quote
Dibu Martínez, emotional at FT as this could be his last appearance at Aston Villa — not sure yet but a possibility ahead of summer window.

Understand Saudi Pro League clubs have approached Martínez in the recent weeks.

On Fabrizio’s Facebook… not sure why it’s not on Twitter yet? Had the check to make sure it was the genuine account, but it is.

What do you mean that "it’s confirmed by his agency"?

Admittedly I'd rather the tap-in merchant wasn't reporting stuff like this, but that Facebook post is him reporting that an Argentinian TV station is saying that he's going to leave.

Which is more than I'd like, but unless there's another bit to it it's probably a bit soon to be clearing the stuff out his locker just yet.

If he does go he’ll leave a huge gap, he’s been a sensational player for us.

No player is indispensable! Unai and the owners have earned our trust and if Emi is going it’s a shame but we will progress.

No players are indispensable, but some players are more indispensable than others.

If he does go then that's two keepers needed and it took us long enough to find one top notch keeper.

I think the signs are there that he's off, I'd guess its more to do with us being at 96% of revenue-wages that is the issue here as the fee wont be massive will it? If Emi goes then that frees up wages to be spent elsewhere, I suspect chucked at Rashford.

It just stings more than any other for me since Yorke. Here we are among the top clubs again and then this.

I thought we might be looking at a top 2 finish next season. We are so, so close. Not if we lose Emi imho.
