I was right behind the net and there was no way that was saveable. I thought goal as soon as it left Eze's foot. It had a vicious curve on it and was hit with enormous force.

As it came across, the natural angle was for him to hit to Emi's left, so Emi took a step to the left. Instead he curled it to Emi's right, and the power and placement meant Emi couldn't get to it.

From my angle in the stadium I thought he'd hit it top left corner so I was a bit surprised how central it was on the replays. It was really travelling though, a great strike.

The bigger issue on that goal was in spite of Pau’s daft error there was still plenty of time to re-organise. How no one picked up their most dangerous player on the edge of the box was just bewildering.

Twenty two times we’ve conceded from the first shot on target this season. That’s an outrageous statistic. The goalkeeper must take a large share of the responsibility for that.

Emi has been nowhere near good enough this season. As for Worlds number one? I’d say there are at least half a dozen keepers in the premier league who are better right now.

Who would buy him though? He's no better than the first choice for most of the top sides in Europe, in England maybe if Man U or Spurs get CL football or Chelsea but options are limited.

Replacement wise, I think Aaron Ramsdsle is unfairly maligned.

Love Emi, but he's not been anywhere near the levels of last season.

According to the stats, he faced just 4 shots on target yesterday. 3 went in.

And he had no chance with all three.

He should stop the first. Straight through him. It's what that salad fingered prick Donnarumma did against us and it's why we're not back on North London mid week.

He didn’t lose us the game yesterday but he didn’t win it us either, as you’d hope a world’s number one might.

A fair point I reckon, normal goalies don't stop any of them, Emi normally stops at least one, any one of them.

Possible that he's begun to believe his own hype, though his teammates in front of him hardly do him any favours at times
