Emi seemed to be more stable when he had Neil Cutler coaching him.

Absolute rubbish

Only time we've fought relegation since Emi arrived is a few months under Gerrard, and everyone was crap under that twat. Apart from Emi.

But Cutler left just after Gerrard which is over 2 years ago. Now I do think Cutler is a good GK coach (seems to be doing wonders with Sa), and Emi still rates him enough to dedicate his World trophies to him, but dragging up 2 years ago seems meh.

Cutler coached emi in the three years leading up to his World Cup win, the medal which people use synonymously with “the world’s number one”.

I think it’s fair to say he was in the form of his life at that point.

Some people get angry and strike out at anyone and everything, often we take frustration out on the one we love the most and feel safest with. That's what I'm putting all this shit down to.

He has also won the Copa America without Cutler's coaching, letting in one goal all tournament and saving penalties in a shoot-out. Which kept him as worlds number one (the Lille penalties probably adding to the voting again).

Would be interesting to know if Emi prefers Cutler or the current one.

He's had a dip this season, but he's still a good keeper just not peak Emi. Question is what's that down to. Coaches, a normal dip in form every player has at times, a constantly changing defence in front, a start of a decline, or something else.

It can only be that as surely picking over the bones of every mistake that both Emi and Emery make is purely down to being angry after a defeat. We’d be just like the Arsenal support if it isn’t.

He dedicated his Glove win and I think first Yashin win to Cutler, and also praised him when on a podcast with Ben Foster. I suspect the constantly changing defence, especially without Mings hasn't helped him though this year.

He's had butter fingers this season. Poor by his high standards. 3 out of the past 5 goals we've conceded have been his errors.

Yes, there have been poor mistakes these last few matches in particular, and which have cost us.

Still rather have him between the sticks than anyone else, mind.

UTV!

Some contributor on the Totally Football Show podcast, last week, had him as the most overrated player in the Premier League this season.

Disasi was the main culprit for their winner, but Emi wasn't blameless he had a decision to make, stay on his line or go forward to cut out the cross, he did neither and ended up in no man's land.

It’s his command of his area that’s the main problem at the moment. He seems quite indecisive and it’s leaving us exposed.

Agreed mate, been going on a while too. Decision making a bit off. At his best he relishes those collisions and laying down markers with forwards.
