Interview with Emi and Cuts on Ben Foster’s Fozcast. Emi brings up the Liverpool goal. Cuts is always a great listen as well.

Don't have Spotify but watched the clip on the YT channel about the world cup save. Interesting at the end where he states he is practicing by putting a medicine ball on poles in to block his view in front himself at different distances to try to improve his saving techniques.

Is that McGinn's new nickname? ;)

Was tring to think of the other own goal he's scored? Last night and the one against Arsenal that came back off the bar, but what was the other one?

Might not be for us, he did play some matches for Arsenal.

Edit: It is the Manure one Caster mentions.

Luton. Konsa’s header that hit him on the way back off the bar.

His three are yesterday, the Arsenal one, and ManU in 2022.

No.

Really enjoyed this, many fascinating bits, including giving the low down on the Lille shoot out.
Big Cuts is always a great listen anyway, if anyone missed it the Nov 22 90mins he did on claret & blue podcast was fab  https://open.spotify.com/episode/5vdOyovWI4wP6CsSuR1qGF?si=NTevbYkPQiOCRb4Bk3hOKA

Wasn’t the second Forest goal (away) just after half time an own goal too?

No, because the shot was going in. The other three Emi put them in.

Cheers Percy. I was in the away end and we just thought he’d tried to palm it away but messed up. I was in no mood to watch the highlights when I finally got back to London that night.

Hmm.

Be happy to let him play, tbh. He's only going to be playing friendlies for us anyway, and goalies don't get knackered like outfield players do.

Only problem with that is it would be unfair to stop others playing like Diaby, Digne who have been reportedly told no, not sure who else could potentially be involved

More chance of them getting knackered/injured. Also, they're clearly far from essential personal for France so it would be odd if they were chosen among their limited number of permitted overage players.

They're not due another home Summer Olympics for about a hundred years on current strike rate, so might as well try to win it. I'd be picking Mbappe and two other stars.

The problem is that he's going to be at the copa America in 2 weeks and that runs until the 15th (and there's every chance he'll be playing), the first Agentina fixture in Paris is then 24th and the final is a week before the premier league kick off. Get to both finals and that's 12 games in 50 days and no fitness work over the summer.

In my opinion even for a goalkeeper it would be iresponsible for us to not give him a break so we'd probably not see him again until after yet another pair of internationals at the start of September.

I love that he wants to play every game and represent him country but they really shouldn't be considering him for selection for the olympics and giving him the option.
