Harsh calling the first an og, in my opinion.

Definitely a fuck-up, but when the ball is wet and there's a deflection...

Probably a quarter of the goals scored in the PL each year come from more significant interventions than Emi's there, in terms of failed tackles and deflections.

He stopped the initial deflected effort, then pushes it in as he tried to gather it. So OG it is. One of those that any other time would have been gathered safely.

I don't really see how it can be called anything else, it's his motion long after the shot that puts it in.

I'm a member of the goalkeepers' union, so I'll just say that I'm biased but I found it harsh.

Shit happens, but that's a keeper's life. An outfield player does the worst control of his career, it piddles out for a throw - for a keeper, it ends up in the gaffe reel. He's still the best.

Emi has scored more goals against us this season than Salah, Haaland and Arsenal combined have.

Indeed, it’s definitely an own goal.

Errrrr, I think Emi has more than sufficient credit in the bank to pay for that howler.
Forgiven the second after it happened

As must as i dont rate olsen that was worse than any of his errors. But emis been superb for us and probably our best ever keeper. We can all move on from this slight hiccup

We love you emi

Pretty sure if he'd just left it after he dropped it that it wasn't going in the net. It was him reaching for it that sent it straight into the goal. Really unfortunate and pretty embarrassing, but things went alright in the end.

It was a cross that wasn't going anywhere near the goal, he made a mess of the catch then in attempting to rectify the mistake he made a worse one by then patting the ball into the net. Just about the worst start imaginable, so the way the players rallied to get back into it so quickly was excellent.

That was a right clanger and very uncharacteristic of him. However, it didn’t get to him and he made some brilliant claims later on as well as a very good save.

Still, bloody hell Emi, what a howler!

For the player he's been for us in his time here, he gets an exemption from criticism from me at least.  Tremendous goalkeeper.

Yep.

When was his last shocker? West Ham about two years ago?

Don't remember the West Ham game, what happened? There was the effort he let bounce through his legs against Man U in the 2-2 under Gerrard, that was a shocker as well. He's in credit by a million percent overall though.
