Things fell nicely for us and Emi. Heaton crocked, Maupay knobbling Leno after lockdown meaning Emi got some games. Before then there wasn't really anyone paying him much attention. He was an uncapped keeper that played a few dozen games in the Championship. And now look at us both.

Emi was excellent for Arsenal in that run. They really dropped a bollock by making Leno number 1. He was crap and left, Ramsdale looked ok but they decided he's not good enough on the ball and Raya has had his moments. So we can thank Arsenal for their part in it as well.

Martínez appreciates us more than Jack ever did.

A Villa legend no doubt about it.

That is something the plastic fans of ManUre, Chelsea et al could never understand.

This is so appreciated and shows the mentality switch in our club.

And  how different it is to something I heard the other day. Darren Bent was on Sky in one of those PL player profile  progs and he was talking about his goals and reaching the 100 goal mark. He was playing for us at the time and he said "Villa were playing QPR and I knew we would lose I told Alan Hutton he agreed and I said we will lose but I will score. I scored, a brilliant day"

Arseholes. The minimum we ask is they don't roll over and accept defeat and that team did.

Thought Benty was alright as well.

It's only 41 years since we were in the Champions League/European Cup, not 45. Doesn't know our history despite the Holte regularly singing 'We even conquered Europe in 1982". Poor show from him.

Plus we are a giant club.

Very disappointed with him.

He's a footballer, I'll let him off with an arithmetic mistake.

Question on Pointless today - name any player who played in the 2022 World Cup final.

Astonishingly, Emi was a pointless answer.

As they were talking through the answers, when she mentioned Emi, the lovely Vick Hope said the words "Aston Villa" when referring to the team he played for.

It was beautiful.

Probably worth having a word with DSportsRadio to at least get some sort of advertising cash out of it if you do.
