The save has gone a bit under the radar really, just because people seem to expect it now.  He is an unbelievable keeper.

Yeah it seems a bit that way Chris, any other keeper and it's a career highlight.

Another outstanding save - as he seemingly produces every week. Thought he had that one saved before the Wolves player had even struck the ball, totally got in his head.

I think that's 7 clean sheets in the league this season now (Everton twice, Citeh/Arsenal/Wulfs at home, Sheff Utd and Chelsea away). Would be nice if he/we could get to ten.

He is the best keeper in the world, there's genuinely not another keeper anywhere I'd swap him for.

In fact, just describing him as a keeper seems a bit of an understatement, he's way more than that for us.

Much like the point blank save he made from Haaland in the game this season. It’s taken for granted sometimes how outstanding he really is, and dismissed by the national media because he plays for us. He’s not just superb at his job but in a way has become the pulse of the club. He wants us to be successful and truly owes so much of what he’s become to how we gave him the opportunity and platform to elevate himself for his country. When he eventually leaves he’ll be as devastated as we will be.

Yep hugely important to us.

We win a trophy this season you can genuinely compare his impact to the likes of Cantona at MU.

Its been up and up since he came in.

It’s been mutual as well. His career has sky rocketed here.

I doubt we would have signed Emi if Heaton hadn't been crocked. That injury doesn't happen and things could be very different for us and him.

You reckon? That’s interesting, I got the impression it was a very targeted and specific transfer. Could be wrong of course, but I think we saw a number 1 who could be here for a long time.

I think they saw Heaton wasn't going to be back for 4 months into the new season and would have been 33/34. So decided we did need someone there. But if he wasn't injured I'm with PWS that Emi might not have been looked at, especially has it might not have been guaranteed first team action straight away.

Things fell nicely for us and Emi. Heaton crocked, Maupay knobbling Leno after lockdown meaning Emi got some games. Before then there wasn't really anyone paying him much attention. He was an uncapped keeper that played a few dozen games in the Championship. And now look at us both.

I'd genuinely forgotten Heaton played for us. I was buzzing when we got him.

And when we got Reina.

Then we got El Rey  8)
