He wasn't close to joining Arsenal, they bid, we rejected it and he signed a new contract.Gabby has all the credibility of a Liz Truss budget.
Using Gabbys opinion to try and prove a point. You have officially peaked.

Then, if approved, Doug would have signed to Arsenal. How near a player can get? Not much closer than that? We can agree to differ, but at the time, on deadline day, reports indicated that Luiz was actually on the verge of leaving, and with a new contract signed with a likely relase clause then it more less confirmed this from my interpretation.Anyhow, let's return to Martinez.
I really dislike how people equate disagreeing with someone elses view as that view being folly.Guess have to accept that but it's annoying.

We can, and do, all disagree about everything to do with Villa, but nobody else invents things to the level you do.
I thought the love for Footy-Vill was growing but people are punching-down again. The site would be far less entertaining without him, so come on, smile wryly at his observations and move on. There's always a mate in the pub who's a bit of a character but you don't jump down his throat for everything outlandish he says. You just ask him to get the next round in, soft lad.

I agree with many of his views and some of his other views give me food for thought. His insight into forthcoming opponents, referees, player demands etc are very welcome. Thinking outside the box. I like it and live my life by it.
