This is good stuff thanks.

Cutts seems quite complimentary about McPhee, which is good to hear.

I noticed the wall before the Digne free kick.  It looked at least 12 yards to me and the Man U players were moaning before it was taken.  Fair play to McPhee for getting in the refs ears about this.

to be fair to the officials, when he lined up the wall for Ronaldos free kick I thought the wall was well over 10 yards away, probably just another shit ref
[/quote]

Maybe like my wife he struggles with the concept of inches, feet and yards. If I'd have taken the measurements she gave me over the phone when we first moved in together, I'd have had enough laminate flooring to cover a football pitch.

On the My Old Man Said podcast, the main chap (who comes across a bit self-important when it comes to the Villa) was talking about how Purslow explained before that when practising free-kicks in training, we bring forward those plastic dummy fellas a couple of yards forward to like simulate reality and shi'.

How the flipping heck have Ings and Bailey picked up three yellows each?! Neither of them could tackle the skin on a rice pudding.

Bailey in particular is a stroppy git when he's not getting his way. And he's had quite a lot of not getting his way this season, so loses the ball and then kicks the bloke he lost out to while trying to win it back.

And Ings?

He certainly loiters. I'm not sure there's too much intent though.

Hopefully, Martinez gets one or two more bookings for time-wasting in the next few games. It will mean we're leading and trying to close out the game. No wonder Sunday was his first booking of the season.

His mind will be on the World Cup anyway, so he should rest and give Olsen the chance, especially since Argentina could win the World Cup and Emi Martinez may still be off Villa duty, missing the 4th round tie and possibly even Boxing Day.

I'll be supporting him at the World Cup and has every chance becoming a winner.

Lets see how many counts I'm accurately gauging things come Chirstmas

His mind will be on the World Cup? How do you come up with this stuff?

No Footy, his mind will be on keeping a clean sheet in the next two games. With respect, you come out with such utter rubbish.

I'd rather have Martinez in for Sunday and rested tonight if he doesn't play both as it will be too much for him, not only with his mind on the World Cup, but also with his health and fitness condition. Having Olsen involved would be goodnsqiad management.

Don't forget Martinez who is still somewhat recovering from a concussion.
I've had it a several times before, and you think you're fine and recovering, but it hasn't been 100%, so you have to consider everything under player welfare.

His mind will not be on the World Cup however many times you say it. Besides, why play him on Sunday if you think he'll be  dreaming of the World Cup? Honestly, you are just taking nonsense for the sake of it.

I don't come up with it I am aware of how significant the World Cup is.
And it's not nonsense because Olsen can be suitable for the Cup game against a modified and altered Man Utd starting 11. If I had to choose, I would rather us have Martinez in goal away in the League on Sunday.

Once again, disagreement among people leads to the rejection of perfectly logical opinions and conclusions that I have made.
It does not imply that it will occur, but there is a case to suggest that it might, and the reasoning I have given is sound.
