If he’s been playing with pain for a year and he’s not scoring then it’s obviously not working is it. Something is not right here.
yes puzzling.

Tielemans played with an injury all last season and won player of the year.
Tielemans doesn’t rely on physicality and pace to place his game. He’s got guile, has players around him to do the footwork and can play a killer pass at will. It’s two totally different scenarios.

Fair enough, but I was addressing the point that I thought somebody made about it being bullshit that players play with injuries.

Bailey was also playing with an injury the season before last, he was heavily strapped up. His form did take a dip with that too as the season started to close.

Fuck me, even when our manager tells everyone that our leading premier league scorer has been playing with an injury for the last 12 months, that still isn’t enough to cut him some slack from some of our more hard to please posters.

The fact he has been willing to play through injury, and the team are still performing is pretty remarkable.

This is a side that have finished 7th/4th/6th and are currently 4th, and the only table we are bottom of is the net spend table for the season.

I am enjoying watching this Villa side of Unai’s as much as I enjoyed Big Ron’s and Brian Little’s teams, I do pity those that don’t seem to appreciate this team.

Considering Tuchel and now Emery have both said it, means it’s probably true. The fact he hasn’t been rested more is surprising, x2 given his form.

Maybe it’s him that wants to play. If so, can’t argue with his commitment. We also don’t have lots of alternatives.

Been managing knee pain for a year, according to Unai. Unai is obviously lying as Smirker said there is no injury.

Of course he has mate that's why he's started almost all of our games.

It wouldn't have taken this long for him to be dropped if it was true. It's not like he was scoring and couldn't be taken out of the team.

Then Unai is either a liar or a terrible manager.

Agree with you there. If he's been playing through pain for that length of time then it's poor from the management and the player.
Would you say the same about Paul McGrath and Graham Taylor/Ron Atkinson?

No wonder Monchi left,
we’ve got a player with a long term injury and poor form, so in the window we bring in a centre back, two wide players a midfielder and a goalie

It’s a fantastic season so far considering the recruitment fiasco
What a absolute joke of a transfer window

Suspect Malen was already the next cab in the striker rank.

And I would be very surprised if they didn't buy Guessand with the plan of him being trained up as a centre forward.

I would say that is an almighty punt if that is the case.
