Yorke was just magnificent and probably could have played a number of positions in this side for Emery and would have been a great fit.

Benteke for that one season was incredible, he had the lot. Was it a bit like Bailey’s incredible purple patch? Would he have sustained that level? Who knows, we were unbelievable shit and sinking and he didn’t fit at Liverpool.

I meant if Dalian had Ollie's fitness and attitude he'd have been a contender to be close to Ronaldo who before injuries ruined him was magnificent. If I could have anyone sign for Villa that's played in my time at their peak it would be him.

Watkins is slowly but surely being phased out by Emery. Duran/Rashford/Malen have all got the nod in front of him over the last couple of seasons, and his speed has declined to the point that non pacey centre backs are rarely troubled by him. He's been a tremendous servant, but I don't think he'll be here in 12 months.

Dalian, god rest his soul, had to be 100% fitness wise before he wanted to set foot on the pitch, and when he was on it he was brilliant, not sure he could take the weekly grind modern strikers have to go through.

To be honest Benteke's goal return when we were going to the dogs was outstanding - each season was over 1 in 3.  When he was at his best he was outstanding.

Yorke was also an excellent player - who like you say could have played in multiple roles.   Ollie has been excellent for us - but he doesnt have the natural ability of those two.

Wiki says Benteke 49 goals in 101 games in all comps
pity he fucked off to Liverpool

Been managing knee pain for a year, according to Unai. Unai is obviously lying as Smirker said there is no injury.

Running one of them straight into a goal post whilst playing for England won’t have helped.

It won't be enough to shirk the Smirk.

Of course he has mate that's why he's started almost all of our games.

It wouldn't have taken this long for him to be dropped if it was true. It's not like he was scoring and couldn't be taken out of the team.

Agree with you there. If he's been playing through pain for that length of time then it's poor from the management and the player.
