Yorke and Ollie, both played as strikers in the 3 seasons I posted with both playing in sides that finished 4th, 5th and 7th. So it's a decent comparison.

And Baros scored 9 in the 42 league games for us.

51 apps in total.

The record is very, very similar.

Decent striker - yes.

Good enough for where we want to be - no.

If you lot are happy with midtable then fine. That's about his level.

Well it’s demonstrably not, who played centre forward when we qualified for the Champions League? I forget.

How did he do in the CL?

The last three seasons we’ve finished 7th, 4th and 6th, with guess who as our main striker.
You know this though, so I’m not sure why you’re twisting this way and that to persist with your stance.

Sidestepping the fact that you can be a midtable level player in a top 6 level team, we've also finished 11th and 14th with him as our striker, and we're 19th now.

What is the average league position if you combine them all?

We looked a good bet to be relegated twice with Yorke playing, it's not on one player if you're at the top, middle or bottom of a league, It why in 6 years as a first teamer Jack spent 3 outside the top flight, plus one being relegated, one nearly relegated, and 11th. And is why Quinton Fortune has more league title medals than McGrath.

Cmon, you said if we want to finish mid table then stick with Watkins and when pointed out to you, we’ve been a top 4, top 6 side with Watkins, you’ve side stepped again.

Without bringing in assists, which make him elite (but are something beyond the comprehension of some) he has finished 7th, 4th, 7th in the PL goal scoring charts in the last 3 years - it’s hardly like his performance on goals alone is off where we are.

and including us being 19th this season, after 4 games, is a cheap trick.
