The glee some have when it's not going well is weird.

I certainly take no glee from it. I hate feeling angry.

Can we criticise him yet or is it still everyone else's fault?

It's now 17 in 62.

You can certainly criticise him when he offers nothing, like today.

Have you got any specific, targeted criticism of any other players?

It’s like Smirker’s birthday. But it’s weird to pick out one player when everyone is utterly dreadful.

He's been brilliant for us in the past and I hate to say it but he's done at this level.

They've all been shit. But none get defended to the extent this one does.

Many of the others have mitigating circumstances (Rogers is very young so you can be more patient with him, Guessand is new, same again, Malen and Maatsen haven't had runs in the first team as starters, Bizot is new).

Which is why nobody has come in for him.

I think that’s premature - when everything is clearly wrong there might be individual player issues but it looks more systemic to me.

All round game doesn’t seem as lively as it used to be. He used to be a nuisance for defenders and was a lot more physical than his stature.

He looks a bit lost. Almost like he doesn’t believe he’s going to get the service.

The low tempo tepid football we’ve been playing doesn’t suit him. Watkins was at his best with higher tempo and counter attacks. Which also bought the best out of Bailey too.

He's also still sulking after Rashford came in and took his place. Attitude problem.

There seems something deeper going on as everyone has been shit so far this season.

Absolutely awful today like he has been since April.

Since when in April? When he came on and turned the game around against Southampton? When he got the all time record and three points against Bournemouth?
