Ahh the bloke who doesn't know how far his own country is from the midlands. Yeah I'll take him serious.

Robbie Savages opinion on anything Villa related is about as relevant as my opinion on what it feels like to be a lesbian.

Trezeguet's goal should have stood. Daylight robbery yet again. Had Ronaldo scored that Grealish goal, we'd be seeing it for breakfast, lunch and tea for the next six months.

Just about a fair point overall.  We were much the better team in the first half, but ran out of steam a bit in the second.  A sign of how far we've progressed and how far they've fallen that a point was a disappointment.  Scores on the doors:

Heaton - 6
Guilbert - 7
Mings - 6
Konsa - 7
Targett - 7
Luiz - 6
Hourihane - 7
McGinn - 6
Grealish - 8
Wesley - 6
Trezeguet - 7

Jack was offside for Trezeguet's goal, so not sure it can be described as daylight robbery?

I think Targett did very well defensively against Daniel James today, who is lightning quick.

No mate, Trezeguet was offside but not active until the second phase.  If I'm wrong, I humbly apologise but that's they way I saw it.

Jacks back leg was offside and even the lino gave it so it wouldn't have stood with or without Var.

Yep I'd agree with that.  I was worried too after the way Traore tore him a new one in the Wolves game, but to be fair to him he's come back from that very well.

As Jack was tracking back, the moment the looping ball was played back out to him his foot was clearly offside.

I haven't seen a replay since the game but was Wesley not a mile offside? That's what the linesman was flagging for I assumed, since he provided the assist

Daniel James is also lightning quick when it comes to cheating.

A Manure fan on 606 wasn't happy that they couldn't beat little old Aston Villa today. A bit like they couldn't beat Sheffield United last week either. A bit like they couldn't beat Rochdale in the cup without going to penalties. They really do need to reign in their arrogance.

This business of using leg positions to determine offside is ridiculous.
