With Laurel and Hardy at the back and Fred Flinstone in midfield I think we have a great chance of a result here.

I can see a Douglas screamer and SJM goal why Manure will never be able to afford him .

so 0-2 Villa

We'll never have a better chance to beat them, but we probably won't.

I half agree. We won't beat them, even though they should be beatable.

But I think in the future we will have better chances to beat them. And we won't win those either.

I reckon we'll get something up there this weekend. It will be the game at Villa Park where we'll throw away a lead and lose at the death

They’ll somehow sign Federico Macheda this weekend to fuck us. If not we can certainly win this game. Nothing to be afraid of. But we have go out with that attitude.

What's been encouraging this season is that even after some painful defeats, the team doesn't seem to have lost much confidence. After 3 straight losses, to go out and play like that vs Newcastle was impressive.

What is slightly missing I think is a true belief that we can beat the "top" teams, and I think just one win against one will tip the scales. To that end, I truly hope we get that win against this lot on Sunday. I still can't stand them even though they're mediocre and we owe them so much payback...

1-1 shame they have started to hit a bit of form in the last few weeks.

They’re easily the worst of the ‘big’ teams this season and we’ve made every team work for a win against us. Think it’s a 50/50 game but only because of our inconsistency and inability to close games off, not because if anything they’re bringing.

I’ve gone for a draw 2-2. We’ll be 2-1 up until the 96th minute...

I wonder if that strange fellow who used to post on here will make an appearance - Willow, or whatever his name was? c*** anyway.

I won’t be happy with anything less than a point from this match. Hate these pricks. Safe travels to everyone who is going. Hope you enjoy the day and have a good time.

Withington Red, or something. If I remember,  one of them on here was okay, and another would be on within seconds of them beating someone like QPR. We've had a few other teams supporters and they never last long.

There was that West Ham fan - Sendo or something. He was decent.

Sendo was a gent. These days Frank, (a Fulham fan?) is a good'un too.

I would like to win this one by a Staunton-esque stanchion-cracker thunderbastard of a strike.

Ta.

Fantastic description. And I'd settle for a repeat on Saturday, this time from Conor Hourihane's left foot (the best Irish one since Stan's...or Christy Brown). Anyway, 1-1 would be decent.

2-1 unfortunately for me to them. They've rested the 1st team squad from tonight's Europa League game, so should be as fresh if not more than us. Now got to try to find a bar showing it in Kingstown, St Vincent where our cruise ship is due to dock on Sunday morning.

Don't think we can get away with the same midfield and formation as Monday night. Average and all as Man Utd are these days, it's unlikely their midfield will be as overrun like Shelvey and Hayden were. Based on form, if Nakamba were to come back in, as I expect he should, then it's either Luiz or McGinn to drop out.
Dropping McGinn last season v Birmingham got a great reaction out of him. Might be the trick again.

It looks like DS will play him when we're expected to attack and bench him wen we're mainly defending. Seems fair enough.
