Alex Scott would be horrific but does tick the BBC boxes

Oh, VT, you daft misogynist racist.

He's got a point though. There's a very good chance it will be her, and she is exceptionally shit. Not that I care, I only fast forward to the Villa bits when we win.

Gabby Logan would be a much better choice than Alex Scott.

The BBC like to have presenters that people would like as a friend, all cosy and warm and fuzzy, whereas they need someone incisive and opinionated (about the football).

Even though she is a Manc Red, Kate Scott would be decent although I suspect the BBC couldn't afford her.

She's decent at what she does but reckon she might be happy as she is.

It doesn’t really matter who does it. It’s a football highlights show.

Yep I struggle to see why it’s sooooo important who presents a football highlights show. I never watch it anyway so couldn’t give a toss but I’m sure Colin from Portsmouth will be along shortly to give us his well rounded view.

Linaker has been very good at the job over the years. Knowledgeable, personal and at ease in his role. He wouldn't have a chance of landing such a role these days as he is seen as too woke and opinionated with his left leaning agenda (according to some)which flies in the face of the current management at the Beeb. They'll be glad he's going.

No idea who will take over but they'll probably struggle to say 'Birmingham' properly and will have played for, or, will support a London club.  Most important is that they'll be anti woke and will be angered that Frogage wasn't allowed to lay a wreath at the cenotaph.

I've heard rumours that when Lineker does eventually go the BEEB reckon they will be able to reduce the TV Licence fee by 50%!

Celebrity is everything. Take reality TV away and we have to confront reality.

I vote Peter Shilton.
