We were on 2nd.  Main focus was on our undoing at our own set pieces.  And both incidents weren’t penalties apparently.

I'm not a lawyer, are you allowed to wear hats in court?

Well, Lineker thought the Watkins one was, and all agreed that the foul given against him was ridiculous, while the discussion of the Torres one centred around sort of mocking the idea that the shirt pull was ‘not sustained’.

It's ok to pull the shirt a little bit apparently.

Tell that to Kamara who was yellow-carded for doing it in the centre circle later on.

Absolutely.

Incidentally, when Ollie got clattered and admittedly exaggerated the heavy contact and a free-kick was actually given AGAINST him, why wasn't he booked by the serially incompetent Coote for diving?

Because Coote signalled the foul was given for Watkins elbowing the Liverpool defender.

I do wonder in the light of todays revelations whether Coote was being blackmailed.

Without putting my tin foil hat on, in ordinary circumstances Coote's rather strange performance on Saturday coupled with today's news would ring alarm bells, but as it was him it was perfectly consistent with his previous performances.

Maybe David Coote will take over.

'Next up are those bastards Liverpool'.

Seriously, I don't mind Lineker. He's had a good run on it though.

I generally skip to the football but will watch if they're talking about Villa and we've won (I only watch if we've won). When I have seen him he always comes across as pretty good at his job, able to talk knowledgeably without trying to take over the entire conversation. Plus he annoys bigoted twats by not being a bigoted twat. Good lad, IMO.
