Aye. You could argue he has unfinished business there.

Cat Gladioli didn't want to sell him back in 2019. It was a work permit issue then: His relative inexperience counted against him compared to the Citeh midfield of that era. Whereas with us he was obv going to see far more game time.

I'd much prefer him going back there rather than to Forest or West Ham etc.

I don't think Alisha is good enough to get in their women's team, so not sure where that would leave her.

Turin.

It would be a bit galling to see him anywhere else in English football.

Watched that over Christmas, very good wasn't it?

Is it a sequel to Cat Ballou?

As he has been so poor in Turin - whoever signs him it will take a few months for him to get up to the pace of the Premier League.

Don't think it will be us as we have no need for another central midfield player.

Largely irrational but I’d bring him back. Give me that over seeing him playing for some no marks like Spuds.

I’d love Doug back. He’s still a relatively young quality footballer with many excellent years in front of him. And Emery/Monchi like him too. Wasted right now not playing.

Me too. He’s been probably my favourite player here since Milner.

Nah, he wanted out. He discovered out wasn't as good as in. He can live with it, we've moved on.

He’s what we are missing in midfield. A player who can hold on to the ball and dictate tempo. Our ball possession stats are way worse without him.

Did he though?  I'm not sure he did deep down.  He was our easiest saleable asset when we had to sell, I don't recall him actively wanting out.

He wasn't interested in a new contract, so I guess so. I love him as a player, but we can't be pining after everyone who fucks off.

He wanted to join Arsenal and threatened to leave if we didn’t pay him what Coutinho was earning. At least that’s what I was told by someone ITK
