I always believed in Doug. In someways the biggest bonus is McGinn being rejuvenated, I thought he was done but he has been exceptional under Emery. Not needing to replace him is a big deal for us.

I'd like us to sign another bruiser in midfield though. He's got that physical side to outwrestle the opposition and unsettle them, whereas everyone else we've got is a bit more lightweight. We'd struggle to replace that when he's injured.

This season he has become the player I think we all hoped he would be when we signed him.

Whilst you could argue the bloke with the alice band outgrew us too fast, Doug has actually grown in sync with us since joining, we could give him the time and games at the stage he needed them and may not have got elsewhere, and now we're both reaping the benefits of him putting it all together.

Would say the same about Ramsey too.

Well they can get fucked.

I'd have thought the above would be in quotation marks; as said by Luiz himself.

Yeah, I’m sure he’d be thrilled at the prospect of joining tottingham’s push for the top half.

It must be the official summer launch of 'Silly Season'.

Palace are quoting £70m for Chiek Doucoure. Rice was £105m. Doug is somewhere between the 2.

Unless he had a clause put in his new deal when he only had 6 months left? Although clauses like that seem to exist if a champions league club come in, not Spurs. I'd be shocked if there wasn't one though.

Again the media have failed to take notice that we are now on a par with the Sky 6.  Maybe we should put in a Bid for Kane to help them understand?

Well he didn't kick up a fuss when he had the opportunity to join Arsenal and we said no, so I'm pretty sure he's not going to have his head turned by Spuds right now and we don't want to sell.

If he's got a release clause, again I don't see that he needs to jump at the first offer and there are plenty of reasons to not join them right now.

It’s weird that a mid table club thinks it can take our players.

Especially one who has lost more cup finals than us this century!
