Wow...to make it better you could have finished it of by plagiarising the commentator at the 2014 world cup describing James goal for Colombia.

Go on?

Why is there suddenly scrutiny of a random post? Is it because I never normally post on the football threads without telling someone to fuck off?

I was at the game so I've no idea what the commentator said. ;)

Agreed both, that was a lovely move. Young did brilliantly to win the ball, played a good positive ball to Luiz, then that pass wasn't even on when Luiz hit it, but he engineered it, knew he could count on Watkins to really challenge for it, and it was so incisive and beautifully weighted.

Come on then, what did the commentator say in 2014?

So watch this and hope your spanish is good.
But roughly:
From a land called Colombia
A man called James
Has scored a goal that's a portrait.

That puts my semi-literate shite to shame, Aftab.

I was slightly more pleased with my pre-match prediction - which was only one goal out, I might add.

Yeah, that might be an idea, eh?! 😉

No, I just think my post about the Luiz pass was really poorly written, so it being picked up on by you and BV makes me think I've dropped a bollock of some variety.

Rory your description was great. As for BV his best comments are usually confined to "Does anyone fancy another" or "I was at the bar when they scored" :)

The pass Doug played for the chance for Ollie, if that was De Bruyne, Thiago, or someone of that stature it would be getting serious plaudits. It was perfectly timed and weighted.

He played an identical pass to Ollie at Old Trafford last season, another game where he was a bit further forward and superb.

Basically showed yesterday why Arsenal wanted to sign him. I will be very disappointed if we let him go for free this year. Quality player who we just need to give minutes in his preferred position - hopefully, if he can get a run in the side and we start doing well, might be able to get the new deal done. Luiz-Kamara-Donk could be an excellent midfield 3.

He'll go for free at the end of the season no doubt, but he's always come across as a decent and humble lad and I've no doubt about his attitude, so as long as he's better than those he's competing with he should play.

If he had even a small bit of pace, he'd be a £70m player.  I hope we keep him, he's a very good player, and to improve on him would cost an awful lot of money.

We’ve probably got little choice, he hasn't signed the new contract on offer and is entitled to leave for nothing when the current one runs out next summer. If he didnt sign last month Id guess the opportunity is gone
