If they do decide to sell at £25m then Tielemans would be an upgrade for the same price.

I cant believe Arsenal don't go in for Tilelmans if he is the same price. I think he is far better than Luiz.

Do people honestly think we offered £25m for ESR and then upped it to £30m by pulling figures out of the air rather than those offers being based on discussions we'd had with his agent?

We got played like a fiddle.

Maybe, but more likely asrsenal were stalling on a new deal, we contacted his agent who gave us a figure and told Arsenal they either met the demands or they'd push for the move, obviously Arsenal agreed a new deal but that doesn't mean we were played, it means the agent did his job.

Possibly. Then we did the exact same with JWP. Or JWP did the exact same with us!

And we did the same with Grealish 2 years ago, it happens all the time.

The first player since Westwood we will have sold for a free higher than we paid.

Apart from Targett, Sinclair and Bacuna (was raised on the transfer thread last night)

Was Westwood not after the other two? I thought we sold Targett for what we paid for him, my mistake.

It was funny last night, as the first corner he took before scoring direct was one of his more usual fail to clear the first defender crap ones. Then he goes and thunder bastards it straight in.
And it was refreshing to see that the wankers from VAR had a look at Kamara standing his ground in front of their keeper, and deemed it ok. To be honest, I was expecting them to rule it out because it was against Arsenal.

The commentators here were going mental
"Slippery slope to playing ice hockey rules"
"Thin end of the wedge " and other such bullshit.
Mind they were screaming for a penalty against Mings in the first half when he manhandled Saka as well.

Can’t say I’m at all concerned if this really average player leaves.

Man City have a sell on clause in place. 20% of anything over £15m

£20m they get £1m
£25m - £2m
£30m - £3m
£35m - £4m

I reckon he's on his way out. It's a question of how much we can screw out of Arsenal.

Wouldn't surprise me if he stayed down in London last night to be on site for a medical today.

Word on the Tweet is we're asking £40 mill for Luiz. Maybe pricing him out? Either that or we're willing to be negotiated down to £30 mill.
