As noted above I think there is a real player in there, he's still learning his position and probably isn't being helped by Smith's strange rotation of midfielders. Certainly shouldn't be benched for Drinkwater's benefit; needs to start v Bournemouth. You're seeing it all wrong. Luiz is fucked after an hour, but coming on when the game is stretched he's a player, and it's winning us points.

Id artwhe have a good 60 mins form luiz than a 10 mins of drinkwater
I love this bloke, I think with time he will become proper quality.
Someone said the other day he's younger than O'hare. I think with a player like him at that age some starts and some weeks coming off the bench is right, but he's going to be done player in a couple of years. Sadly after we have done the hard work Man City will no doubt buy him back.
I think the idea with Drinkwater is to use his experience in the 1st half of games to make sure we go in at halftime still in the match. this gives confidence to the team that they can come out in the 2nd half believing they can get something out of the game. After a bright start to the season, it was becoming evident that the team was losing belief if they went behind.
