The other oddity is if Jacks was a genuine plan for the Ashes why hasn’t he played in three years? Again not necessarily against it, and adapting and flexibility can be a good trait. But goes a bit against the whole building a team for the Ashes narrative.

Jacks wont bowl many overs, he will get smashed to pieces over there. Poor choice imo.
