Without wanting to stir the pot I do think existing subscribers to Sky/BT or both either directly or through Virgin should be able to purchase these games at a cheaper price.  By all means ask non subscribers for the £14.95 but I think £5 for existing subscribers is a fairer ask.

There’s just no way on earth I’m paying £15 to watch a match unless it’s a title decider or cup semi/final. This would push me to a pirate box for sure.

£5.49 max for me, especially on top of my existing sky subscription.

Title decider was last Sunday, mate.

This is purely driven by the premier league clubs, no one else

Leicester were the only club to vote against the proposal 19 to 1

I have a totally contrary view and think that those who would normally go to the games, ie: STH’s or members with a recent (2019/20 season) booking history of the clubs involved, should be the ones getting a discount on the box office price. In that way, if I want to watch Villa I am rewarded for the fact that I would ordinarily have made the effort to go anyway but for Covid, but if I want to watch a non-Villa match that isn’t part of my normal sky subscription I should pay a premium.

I’m all for being able to watch the games that aren’t already on TV and have no problem with paying, but £15 a game is an absolute rip off. I normally buy a now tv day or week pass where I can watch numerous games and various sports.
When you consider I received e vouchers for £22 a game for the 6 games we missed on our season tickets, where I would be in the stadium soaking up the match day atmosphere I fail to see how they come up with £15. Should be half that in my opinion at most.

It’s pretty tone death - I cannot believe they’ve landed on the price they have.

I'd only just taken up NowTV on their sky sports for £25pm for 12 months offer, clearly jumping the gun in thinking that they'd be showing us a little more often than looks like happening. I was half expecting/hoping for something similar to the restart coverage. It's pay monthly and cancel any time, but that cancellation precludes any ability to enjoy a similar offer in the future. Rationalising, it'll still cost me less to watch every game home and away than it would for my season ticket. Still, sucks to have to bin off what I hoped was a bargain before I've even made the first discounted payment.

I'm sure they've rationalised it by saying a season of £15 games costs £570.  That's about the average season ticket price but you get double the games.

Not saying it's right but I can imagine someone at the Premier League and Sky arguing it that way.

It’ll just encourage people to share the cost and break Covid rules and also illegally stream. IMO a lower price point would actually make them more money. Also the PPV model is more expensive for the not so big clubs supporters , as less of their games will be chosen as selected in the normal monthly subscription

I bet all of a sudden Liverpool, Man U and Arsenal aren’t selected so often for the regular live games.

I assume Purslow would have been our representative for this little vote?

Somewhat amusingly, "West Brom v Burnley" is trending on twitter. People seem to think they could spend fifteen quid more wisely.

Considering the times we live in this seems a tone deaf decision. I’ve just paid the equivalent of £60 for 12 months to receive every PL, CL, International and all the UK preview and analysis shows. I’ve watched the Liverpool game about 8 times already.
