Amazed Villa-Leeds hasn't been picked given the beef after our last meeting and the Leeds hype machine.

Could see the BBC picking that for their monthly game.

The Leeds v Villa game was in the Championship so as far as the Premier League schedulers are concerned it never happened. If it had happened in the Premier League a special documentary on the incident(s) would have been commissioned.

Looks like it will be PPV going forward for any game not selected for Sky or BT - £14.95 per game & viewed on app - at least that’s what the Telegraph & Daily Mail are reporting?

I won’t bother - wait for the highlights to be shown

With the amount of goals we're scoring atm the highlights will almost be as long as the game.

So, it'll be on Sky Sports Box Office. £14.95. Which means pubs will get busy again (until they get locked down again).

I guess it was inevitable we'd have to pay eventually (on top of the Sky/BT subscription) but I think that's a bit steep. For a tenner I'd have felt more inclined.

At least it's cheaper than watching boxing on Sky Sports Box Office, which is nearer £20.

But that is generally for very high-profile, exclusive events. There are 10 matches every week (at least) in the Premier League.

There is the issue that fans would normally pay to go I suppose, and at the moment nobody is...

Where this seems to fall down is that the ‘chosen ones’ who are regularly on Sky/BT, their games will be available to their fans if they have Sky or BT sports.  The rest of us, who pay the same subscriptions, will have to pay extra. Bastards.

I'd rather pay my money directly to the football club than to Sky, especially as I already have the whole package at around 85 quid a month. Someone always seems to profit from another's misfortune and that boils my piss.

Good point, I may just cancel my Sky Sports.

So if you're not currently a Sky subscriber, to watch us going forwards you need to pay for a Sky subscription and pay for box office on top?

That seems to take the piss somewhat.  Unless there's an option via Now TV for non-subscribers.

If you have Virgin or some such you don't need a Sky sub to watch the boxing, you can just pay the one off fee.

Do you need a BT subscription to get BT Box Office? Or would that just be a one off, too?
