Grealish played his part. He's not McGinn, but he's not nobody.

Agreed, and he's welcome back at VP as a fan any time he wants. I just hope we never have to see him walk around the pitch as one of the 'legends' to be applauded.

Grealish is essentially David Platt to SJMs Sid or God.

He’d have to edit the bit where he played for us to be comparable to Platt. I don’t think he’d do such a thing.
SJM is rightly in the same bracket as Sid or God.

And he'd have to do something good at the world cup too.

Agreed. SJM like Sid and God apart from being a brilliant footballers are all noted for their humility. The only difference I can see is SJM doesn't mind celebrating a goal but even then his celebration isn't about him.

Every team needs a John McGinn. We're blessed that he's a Villan.

For me, SJM isn't a world class player, but he's a world class team mate. I reckon he'll be the hardest to replace out of our squad when the time comes.

McGinniesta is up there with Paul McGrath in terms of what he’s brought to the team. There’s no higher praise than that.

I saw something recently where he said something to the effect of anybody who thinks he only brings energy and running around hasn’t been watching his football ability and he’s right. His movement, poise, shooting and passing are really very very impressive.

Agree.  He's going to leave a massive hole in the side when his legs go a bit.
