Another one is still at Motherwell.

Performances for Scotland of late of of late draw a striking similarity to the final weeks of Gerrard’s tenure. Not overly worried, am sure Unai pre August will get him back to where he needs to be for us.

Don’t worry, he’s got better players around him at Villa Park.

Working with a lower quality of player for Scotland compared to Villa.

Better performance thus far against Hungary, despite getting fouled almost every time he's on the ball.

There was a graphic doing the rounds a while back that only 1 player in a major european league had played more games than McGinn in the last 12 months (think it was a Benfica player). There's nothing complicated about it, the guy is fucking exhausted and needs a break. Personally I'd be planning for him to miss the first 2-3 games so he can have a proper 4-5 week break after this.

I presume you mean pre season friendly games Paul and not the actual season?

Said something similar earlier today, I expect Unai to give him a decent break and ease him into the season. Fortunately we have plenty of midfielders coming in to share the load.

Nope, I mean that I wouldn't want to see him in training until the end of July, I'd say the same about a few others as well. We need to keep an eye on player welfare after the way last season ended.
