When you get called a Villa B**tard, even by that lot down the road, get called it my mate in the pub everytime he sees me, I don't have a problem  but when I am called a Fenian B**tard by anyone connected with loyalism or Glasgow Rangers they mean it with hatred, because that's what they have been bought up with, would anyone stand for it if Rashford was called a black b**tard, no they wouldn't,

Exactly, although judging by the standard of hearing on here they'll be claiming Rashford (or e.g. Mings) was being called a 'slack b**tard'.

Quite. And, while I dislike the club, credit to Chelsea for denouncing it so quickly with no whataboutery. When their cousins north of the border sing songs including that word, at virtually every match, "Rangers" either pretend it didn't happen or claim that they are somehow being victimised.

When you are called it a few times you generally get to understand,

I'm sure this is my total ignorance so please excuse the dumb questions, but what is the element of sectarian abuse? All the effing and jeffing is stuff you'd hear at any ground to any player.

What's the relevance of the "We are the people" comment?

I believe it relates to the word 'fenian'. Can't say the word bothers me too much, but it's clearly abuse of a player based on his background.

'We are the People' is a Rangers/bigot thing.

Ok thanks. Hopefully Chelsea ban the simpleton for a very long time.

So weird that the world's two vilest cubs have such an affinity for one another.

Does McGinn even have a connection with Celtic? We bought him from Hibs, right?

I know Hibs/Hearts is a similar dynamic, but it's not like SJM is Neil Lennon or Martin McGuinness. I've always thought of him as just Scottish.

I think SJM's uncle or something was a director, or something, at Celtic. Some family connection anyway.

His Grandad was chairman, and he's a lifelong fan.

If people can't sing 'we're up to our knees in fenian blood' then it's political correctness gone mad!

These days, if you say you're up to your knees in Fenian blood, they throw you in jail.

Thanks Dr Chekov and Ealing. I wasn't aware of that. These bigots do their research, I'll give them that.

Look up the lyrics to the Billy boys song and Billy Fullerton concerning  Fenian blood, might explain it a bit better, the same place Fullerton come from is bridgton cross, young Celtic fan had his throat slit walking through bridgton by a Jason Campbell, who two uncles were convicted UVF members for blowing up a Catholic pub in Glasgow, this hatred has been going on for over one hundred years but nothing has been done to stop it
