Was this the idiot in the corner who kept gobbing off and giving SJM the V's?  I noticed him when watching the game and wondered why, given everyone could see it on the telly and it makes Chelsea look stupid, they didn't haul him out there and then.

Seems pretty clear to me.

He shouts: "Boo you f****** F***** b******. McGinn, you dirty ****.

"F*** off you f****** w*****. We Are The People!

"F*** off!"

I must admit, I couldn’t either. I got “boo”, that was about it.

Yep, I've been called it a few times, including once when I was wearing a Celtic watch that I bought purely because my watch had broken, and it was the cheapest one I could find in a charity shop I went to.

Only been called a Taig twice though, so that's something to be grateful for.

I'm sure this is my total ignorance so please excuse the dumb questions, but what is the element of sectarian abuse? All the effing and jeffing is stuff you'd hear at any ground to any player.

What's the relevance of the "We are the people" comment?

I believe it relates to the word 'fenian'. Can't say the word bothers me too much, but it's clearly abuse of a player based on his background.

'We are the People' is a Rangers/bigot thing.

Getting called a Fenian is surely a badge of honour anyway! The first Villa game I saw was at Stamford Bridge about 25 years ago....lots of Chelsea/Rangers band of brothers type scarves for sale at the time. Suspect their support is a bit more multi cultural these days.

I've never understood irish Chelsea fans. Glory hunters who've not done even the remotest bit of research.
