How many people on here, WITHOUT the 20:20 hindsight, wanted McGinn left out yesterday? Where were the posts on the pre-match thread to that effect?
Very unfortunate for McGinn and Villa, but that was a challenge that he didn't need to make. He seemed riled up by not getting a foul moments earlier.

Not necessarily in the minority. "Smith out" is just noisier . H and V isn't necessarily reflective of the Villa support as a whole. FWIW I agree with you. Blaming Smith for McGinn's injury is like blaming Bernard Matthews for your turkey being overcooked.

Considering we had the luxury of getting promoted with two players who were immediately talked up as 50m + targets for manu, we’ve done quite well to play them both out of position and reduce their threat to the opposition.
