The billionaires I know have given away hundreds of millions to charity, the result of which has had a gigantic impact on the most needy people on the planet and continue to do so.

Hope you’re on your lunch break.

Surely they are the inspiration for all of us to rise and make something of ourselves?

I dont look at a bloke in a Ferrari and say "wanker he should not have that" i would rather speak to him and find out how he did it so i could get one as well

Can only speak for myself, but some of us don't want the Ferrari.

How much money is the tipping point before socialist / communists start hating?

Shall we start with someone that has £8,000,000,000 not wanting to pay a bit more tax, then move down from there?

Probably  because we are not billionaires or even millionaires

So what? You're still free to try and move to a difference country and a different tax regime if you wish. And it looks like the vast majority are choosing not to do that.

Have you done it ? If so why not ?

Being of a liberal mindset I've no objection to people having wealth, even oodles of the stuff, just pay your fucking taxes that enable the society you live in and want to exist in to function properly. It really is as simple as that. If the mega wealthy want no part in the social contract then quite frankly they can fuck off.

Because I'm quite happy here, paying the appropriate level of tax here.

Can only speak for myself, but some of us don't want the Ferrari.
I can confirm that - being unable to drive and having little desire to learn - I have no interest whatsoever in owning a car, Ferrari or otherwise.

Quite why you'd want to buy a Ferrari and everyone knowing you have a small dick is quite something.

I think most on here would be living a comfortably life with no need to work on £10mil (and even less). If I had worked all my life on my current wage I would have only earned a fifth of that amount before tax. Sawaris is worth £7billion, and wants to keep more of it. Obviously it is not all personal wealth but I'm sure personally he is worth a lot more then £10mil.

Another way to look at the mega rich is if only the billionaires they gave ALL their worth away to everyone in the world, everyone would get almost £1500 pounds. That wealth is "owned" by less then 3000 people.

You dont know that for sure. People could spunk the money and get themselves in debt (you hear about these kind of stories of lottery winners all the time)

When you come into money you live a certain lifestyle. You probably will have a bigger house, more cars etc. The point im making is when you have more money you likely live a more expensive lifestyle. Such as someone who doesnt have as much money they have to budget their lifestyle accordingly.

There are alot of billionaires/millionaires  that are probably dirty and dont pay tax. But i bet there is some normal earning people who do that as well. Unless people know for sure what these billionaires spend their money on - i find it rather pointless to hate on them or call them names. It just comes across as jealousy.

I know some very wealthy people some are the kindest and generous  and other  wealthy people i now, some not so much at all. Wont evn offer to treat you to a takeaway. The same applies with people who i know that dont have much money but are also generous while the others wont even buy you a apple juice at the pub. Its down to the individuals themselves

The billionaires I know have given away hundreds of millions to charity, the result of which has had a gigantic impact on the most needy people on the planet and continue to do so.

When you next meet up with your wealthy mates, could you suggest they pay tax instead. Might reduce the need for charity.

No-one, communist or otherwise, has suggested keying a Ferrari or hating someone based on their paper worth alone. As for the "you can pay more tax if you want" bollocks, I'm not going to make up the shortfall created by the wealthy and their tax managers. Every election parties put forward their plans and their tax priorities. You're free to vote for the party that offers loopholes, low tax and sod all welfare. But, to steal a phrase, if the other lot get in with their higher tax policies, you lost, get over it. Especially if you have the access and power to shape those policies in the first place.
