If I was Heck and wanted to set high ticket prices only to have to run it by Sawiris, I’d probably resign.

You don’t hire good people and then tell them what to do. If you’re going to do that, you might as well hire dimwits at half the price.
They didn't hire good people . They hired Chris Heck who has previous form for being a *******

I think we are agreeing mate.
I am sure they would have had some inkling concerning his character and ability to piss people off.
I don’t think they would expect this level of outrage which is as a result of multiple decisions.
Looking back it’s was inevitable because this is who he is.
I like the phrase , when someone keeps telling you what they are, it’s a good idea to believe them.

Ah, so we are.

Good people in terms of the business model is wholly different from good people in terms of loving fluffy kittens.

His business model is piss poor too. Very short term thinking. He's misread the fanbase and type of club we are hugely. Absolute liability.

I'm not sure he has to be honest, the type of club we have been, against the type of club we're going to be is a wholly different thing. We're not aiming to make up the numbers, we're aiming for the top. The Adidas deal is a prime example of that. Champions League football, the coaching appointments, the investment in the women's team, in Bodymoor, we are aiming to be the best.

Which is completely different to Heck charging West End/Chelsea prices in Birmingham.
Newcastle and the PIF have aspirations like ours and they aren't doing what Heck is doing

It's easier to spot the 'day-trippers' at St.James' Park as they're wearing shirts.

Yeah but he's got previous form for turning a large but under performing sports franchise into a money making machine in a relatively short time frame.

If that's what you want someone to do for your football club then Heck is the sort of person who will do it.

FWIW, one of Randy Lerner's biggest, longest-running failures was to fail to appoint someone like Heck to manage his investment, and opting for the known 'nice guy' instead.

Being too nice gets a business nowhere.

As I like to remind people at work, everyone needs an arsehole.

Not if you use a colostomy bag.

Colostomy bags only handle fluid don’t they? You’d still need an arsehole.

Catheter for wee, colostomy (or stoma) for poo.
