My point was if the QE and Birmingham uni can in effect drag up Strichley, then why couldn’t a stadium with bars and restaurants along Aston uni (now with business school and medical school) drag up the around VP? Their graduates have to live somewhere.

So if the main point of a new 60k stadium is to generate more money to spend on players - how does this work? Surely the extra gate money would be needed to pay for the new stadium??

Sorry, have I missed something?With all this talk of gentrifying Aston, I was under the impression the area around Tottenham's stadium was still a shithole. I'm sure it was being talked about on this very thread a few days ago. Or did I imagine that?
