I stand by what I said it's fake news !

I waiting for everyone else to get up to speed

If I'm wrong and Henry comes I will never post here

I will watch from afar but can't help think we are being mugged off by Daily star exclusives !

Bruce Out is a valid position to hold (and is where I've been at for some time). I take issue with Henry In being the only alternative option.

I agree, I said over the weekend I'd keep Bruce for a few months and that was mainly because of the Henry rumours but I'm coming round to the idea.  It's a massive gamble but with Bould as the assistant I'm a lot less nervous. I still want a DoF with the same vision though.

It’s a bit like hiring RDM when we might have got someone else. But then again I don’t know how well he will or won’t do. Because our acceptance of hiring Bruce based on his record and experience let us down. Henry could be great, he could be the very opposite. There are no guarantees.

It's on....

That's a pretty big shift from your "Bruce is going nowhere", "we can't afford £7 million to sack him" and "no intent to sack Bruce" claims.

Are our owners completely indecisive? Or maybe they found £7 million down the back of the sofa? Or perhaps some ITKs aren't actually ITK at all.

That's harsh, Chelts has been pretty on the money all through this to be fair.

Sorry, was that when he said Bruce was  'toast' just after the play offs, or when he said Jack had to go but Bruce was staying last week, or what he said 5 minutes ago?

This is crazy. This could so badly wrong.

Personally, I think it could go badly wrong with Bruce in charge as well.  If the football is an improvement, then I'm happy to take my chances.

it’s already gone badly wrong with Bruce in charge

Oh come on. Took us from 18th or whatever it was to just missing out in the Play-off final. To a bloke who we know nothing about in terms of his ability to managing a Championship club. Ok, if they want rid of Bruce, fine but let's not go down the Sty road of getting a 'name' in.

A job at this dysfunctional club is too big for a managerial trainee -especially now.

He would have to have a pretty impressive set of credentials to get past the lack of experience.

Anytime I have heard Henry talk football I have been far from impressed. He seems to know a bit about the top 4 -Arsenal in particular- but phones it in when talking about the other clubs. Very animated, quite often. But actually says very little. No real awareness. Like a French Mark Lawrenson.

Aside from our own Bad English, there is also an unwritten rule that the French lads just don't work out us.

It's a non for me.

I’m happy to give a new manager time. I don’t want to give Bruce any more.

Absolutely, Bruce has had his chances.
Henry - a risk it is, but if our new owners also appoint a DoF with enough nous/gravitas and a management team who are knowledgeable and experienced, I'd say go for it.

Don't want another season of dross from Bruce.

I was asking the family what they wanted for lunch five minutes ago 😁

I have never been Bruce’s biggest fan and would gladly see him replaced with a forward thinking, progressive, younger manager BUT that must come with experience.

My head is saying that replacing Bruce with Henry is madness.

By heart though is saying it is intriguing.

If the new owners are wretched star fuckers to that extent and want him about the place just to massage their own ego, give him a bullshit ambassador/ adviser position of some sort.

I’m more interested at the prospect of the unknown with potentially a lot of upside with Henry than knowing precisely what we’ll get with Bruce. With him telling us all we’re hysterical as we plod along in 13th spot 10 games in. To that I say fuck off.

This would appear to be a rash appointment based on his name rather than his achievements after ceasing playing, I’d rather keep Bruce.
