The Championship is getting more interesting than the Premier.

If he brings in Remi Garde as advisor it might work.

On SkyBet the odds on Henry's first job being Villa, have shifted from 1:2 to 1:6 in the last 20 minutes....

If we were going down the unproven route, why not Mikel Arteta?

Well this doesn't immediately suggest the measured, responsible and businesslike approach I hoped our new owners would bring. It's a good job they've got a big bag of cash because if they're going to take gambles like this they may well need it. Who knows what we're getting here?

On the other hand I do know what I'm getting with Bruce and it's as ugly as his mug, so I welcome his binning off. I'd say don't let the door hit you on the way out, Steve, but that would be unfair; it's bound to clip a bit of his arse, even if he goes sideways.

Hmm. Not convinced. But I suppose at least Henry's unlikely to tell his players to "keep it tight for the first 85 minutes, lads, then try and nick one on the break".

It's on....

That's a pretty big shift from your "Bruce is going nowhere", "we can't afford £7 million to sack him" and "no intent to sack Bruce" claims.

Are our owners completely indecisive? Or maybe they found £7 million down the back of the sofa? Or perhaps some ITKs aren't actually ITK at all.

It would take a very poor manager indeed to come up with a worse first 45 minutes than that served up by Fistface at Wembley.

It will either be a genius move, or a complete disaster. Still on the plus side, it's off wi his 'ead.

So, get a better one then. Not one who is completely unproven... just because he's a big name.
