Bent in part ex for a stoke player would be an option though - they want £5m for crouch , uncle arry is stalling.

Has it been said why Crouch actually wants to move again?
If I'd been replaced with Adebeyour at Spurs by Arry,
I think I'd take my chance to pay him back and stay put.

I was just about to say Upson would be a good fit for you. I was almost dissapointed when we signed Upson but to be fair he hasn't put a foot wrong and always done well and he would help you now. Not sure why we'd let him go though as he's perfect back up for Huth And Ryan.

Palacios... I was happy to see him come and in flashes hes looked great but never had a run. Pulis said he wasn't fit enough when he came and then never really had a crack at it. Not he's what you want this season you need someone to come in flying.

You're right. Massive step down. Hurts to admit it though. Upson is garbage IMO, so I would only want one of your first choice CB's. Neither of which would come or we could afford.

I'd keep Bent if only because Lambchop won't be here for ever, and when Benteke and co get flogged we'll need a 15 goal a season striker in the championship. Just because the current manager is too clueless to play to his strengths, doesn't mean the next guy will
