Just read Dalian Atkinson's funeral will be this Saturday (19th November). I hope the club will be represented in some way.

Nice to see so many former Villa players giving him the send off he deserved. RIP, Dalian. You scored some of the best goals I've ever seen at Villa and you won't be forgotten.

Does anyone know what songs were played at his funeral. Ugo tweeted something about them being Reflective, humorous and to the point. It would be nice if the club could find out and play them at the next home game...

Yes I went to the service at the Crematorium - they played Aint No Bluff the song from the 94 league cup final as it had Dalians voice all over it. Next they played you cant hide a song by David Joseph apparently it was a song that him and his brother Paul used to like in their clubbing days. Finished with What a man by Salt'n'Pepa.

The crem was packed was lucky to get inside really, great to see a few of our lads there - Tommy Johnson, Bryan Small, Ugo, Stan Staunton, Ian Taylor, Sid, Ken McKnaught also Brian Little, Jim Walker and Steve Stride. Unusual service but just pleased I was able to pay my respects to one of my football heroes.

I think that's the best I've read about him.

Just a very good footballer in my eyes.  One of the last Villa  players who you could  say fans had a direct affinity too.
