Perhaps we're too big a club for him at his current stage of development?

And then some.

It's not just that we are too big a club (behaving like a small club, admittedly), it's the job itself.  He has to turn around a squad of players that just avoided relegation by a couple of points; he will have to do this whilst relying on free transfers and a very small budget (I believe).

Can a  guy whose CV reads that he has done well in Norway for a couple of seasons really be the man for the job?  What is it on his CV that tells us he is?  If anyone can tell me I'd genuinely be interested to know because I'm beginning to think we are all losing our marbles.

I think sir alex told randy he is good enough.

It would seem even more of a risk if he's not coming in under a DoF, but it looks like he has a sizable team working with him.

I think one of his main benefits is that he knows the importance of surrounding himself with the right people.

What is the general perception of what he's doing there Eig?

Is he seen as an innovator, someone with that spark about him that makes things happen?
Or -as an earlier poster mentioned-  has his success at Molde had more to do with money?

I'll get behind him, unless of course.....

Apparently it's been announced on Norweigan radio he's signed. Twitter, though. Make of it what you will.

I can only see references to the same story I linked to earlier on either NRK (Norwegian version of BBC) or TV2

The downside to this is that he probably will need a bit of time to get up to speed on the Karl Henry deal.

I honestly think that if he said that Ferguson would be the first in line to kick his arse.

Where is this video where he spells out his football philosophy? I will have a look at it as others seem excited by his words.

About 10 minutes in they start about the football. Love his philosophy.

Gagey summed-up my feelings very well.

On the one hand it feels like an extension of the feeder club we've become in recent times. Milner, Young, Walker all using us as stepping stones though in fairness to the former two there was a time when they possibly thought that they could play the glory days of their career with us.
Everyone bar Ryan Giggs and Alex Del Piero (any chance we can snap him up?) are ever more transient in football these days. That's ok. If Solskjaer is ultimately on the first big challenge of a bright future in management he'll have to have done pretty well with us to keep progressing.

Talk sport saying done deal

Not yet it isn't.

Looking likely though Dave?

I think he's the main target.

Do you think based on information that is open to all of us (ie links/words from this thread or VT?) or some other knowledge?
