Don’t really want his dad Steve around the club though.

Bannan's had a good career for a player who looked at 18 like his next move would be Kidderminster Harriers.
I liked JDH but I think he'd have suffered with the same issues as Conor has with us of just not having the physicality to cope with how we play.I suspect the same is true of Jack Clarke who i thought looked a fantastic prospect as a 17-18 year old but who hasn't really progressed and has just gone out to chesterfield having been called back early from Yeovil where he couldn't get a game. I know this technically isn't the right thread for him but it might as well be, which is a shame.

I know likes of Chelsea abuse the loan system but they've also had a loan manager in there for a few years (it's Tor Andre Flo) who's remit is to find clubs who'll fit the style the kids have been developed in. Chelsea also have that club in Holland, they sent Mason Mount to play there when he was just 18.When you look at our best prospects in last 15 years who broke through they all tended to go out on loan at that age. Cahill at Burnley, Grealish at Notts County and Weimann at Watford who quickly overtook the Fonz in the pecking order in 2011 who didn't go out on loan in the years before when he badly needed it.Feels a bit odd to me when we've finally decided to loan out Revan given he's 21 and we can only find him a non league club. Would've thought they'd have been plenty of interest from the league against his performance v Liverpool. Was a bizarre use of O'Hare aswell, only started loaning him out when he hit 20 and we'd wasted the previous 18 months when he just stayed to play the odd cup game.Given our continual improvement over next few seasons it's going to get harder for talented youths to break through so really feels like an area we need to get better as likes of Louie Barry and Kesler are probably good enough to be loaned out to league 1 clubs this month if we want to do it. Loaning out Ramsey to Donny this time last year has shown the benefit of that.
