There were about 12 or 13 blokes, three boys, a woman and a cat, but there was some very clever use of mirrors going on.

The media are telling a few porkies. There was much more than 500 protesting at Villa Park.

Unless they are all hiding in the pictures and telly stuff I have seen so far then 500 is about right, certainly not the thousands you alone (on here) are claiming.
There was more than 500. Do you think the Villa staff counted them one-by-one?

Here's a little bit of advice, don't believe everything the media tells you...

Haven't read any media and only saw pictures on the telly (was in a meeting, TV in corner with sound turned down). I guessed about 500 from that, can live with there being about the same again away from the cameras.
But "thousands"?

From the photos posted up on here and the TV images, I'd say 500 was about right.

I was there at 7pm, I'd say 500-1000, for all the good it's done.

I would say there was about 1,000 - maybe more... I don't really know what time the peak time when most turned up. I was actually quite surprised that many turned out after laughing when there was only about 20 who turned up at 5pm.

I probably did exaggerate at the time but i'm sure there was more than 500 just from what a couple who I know attended.

So you weren't there and it wasn't "thousands"?

The last people to judge the numbers in a crowd are those in it.

ALITA, it's not the fact that he's been manager of SHA that is the problem. It's simply that he's not exactly any good.

But I am sure there are loads of 'not any good' managers out there, who if they were in the frame would not provoke this much negative reaction.

I wanted a world class manager;
I would happily have accepted an excellent manager;
The least I thought we'd get is a good manager;
I would have been disappointed if we appointed a fair manager;
and unhappy with a poor manager.

Birmingham City's manager has spent a fortune compared to his typical relegation rivals but has produced turgid football and been relegated twice. I don't think he even makes that bottom category.

I can't stand this.

I find myself repeatedly agreeing with you.

I'm going to the doctor to get some mental pills or something, this can't be right.

Me too VD. Never thought I would say that, but that post is bang on.

McLeish must feel at  home already as he's used to small crowds claiming to be bigger than they actually  are.

Fair play to those who showed up.

After all Lerner has invested in us, we are right back down to the end of Doug Ellis's reign now. GT2 was a bad appointment from Ellis but this one tops that by some distance. Actually Id have argued at the time than DOL was a decent appointment for where we were barely after surviving relegation. Better than appointing McLeish now anyway. Plus the club now has a substantial debt mountain and 80%+ of falling turnover is going on player wages.

At least he has a Villa tattoo though. That is reassuring for his intentions for AVFC.

If things pan out as many fear they will, forcing a gate will be nothing come next spring.

It'll be more like ripping the blasted things off their hinges and chucking them throught the ticket office window.
