They still managed to sing anti-Blose songs which undermined their opinions in my opinion.

Hi, just back from two weeks in deepest cornwall and been completely offline and almost totally out of touch with news.
This is like coming back in the house having left teenagers at home, saying you could have a few friends round and you had a full blown all night party and wrecked the place. Its obvious you lot cant be trusted to be left alone again.

My initial reaction is I dont have any particular problem with Mcleish as manager. I can well understand some getting upset, but he's not exactly Trevor Francis is he ? Argue all you want about whether he is good or not as a football manager, but ruling out a 52 year old bloke who has been involved in the upper levels of the professional game for many decades simply on the basis of him spending a couple of seasons at our rivals seems daft to me.
The Villa have a long tradition of links to scots, ok we did get relegated the last two seasons when a jock was in the hot seat but it could be 3rd time lucky.  ;D

ALITA, it's not the fact that he's been manager of SHA that is the problem. It's simply that he's not exactly any good.

McLeish wins a cup for the Scum, for the first time in 50 years.  Surely that makes him some sort of miracle worker?

To be honest if I was randy I'd seriously think about selling up and I wouldn't give a toss who I sold it too- I feel so sorry for randy - he is a good chairman and doesn't deserve this, he deserves a club where he's treated much better than this , we don't deserve him!

Eastie, live on H&V talking shit again.

And it's changed what, exactly? Randy and McLeish are due for a second meeting.

But I am sure there are loads of 'not any good' managers out there, who if they were in the frame would not provoke this much negative reaction.

Piss off. To all those protesting, you are an embarrasment. It won't make me popular but tough shit. Spoiled bastards making us look like Newcastle. Brought on themselves by a board that have been too open and pandered to fans wishes too much I admit, but stupid nonetheless.

Well said Chelts. It's a fucking football manager we're appointing. Nothing more.

If it is McLeish, then these complete tossers have got me rooting for him to succeed more and more.

Fully agree with you - I was so angry with the arseholes I saw on TV tonight supposedly representing Villa supporters that I'd be happy with McLeish now just so they can all carry out their threats and F**k off.
If Randy backs down to mob rule we are finished - he may as well sell the club to the first Indians or Chinese that will give him back the millions its cost him and wash is hands of it all.

I wanted a world class manager;
I would happily have accepted an excellent manager;
The least I thought we'd get is a good manager;
I would have been disappointed if we appointed a fair manager;
and unhappy with a poor manager.

Birmingham City's manager has spent a fortune compared to his typical relegation rivals but has produced turgid football and been relegated twice. I don't think he even makes that bottom category.

I honestly don't see why people have it in for the protestors.

You are unhappy about something, you can either do something about it or mutter to your mates in the pub. It may not work but at least you tried. We've been an apathetic lot over the years but it does at least indicate some strength of feeling.
