Nobody said you had to be happy with the appointment. The media will spin this so that all Villa fans will be seen as part of the protest as opposed to a few clowns.

i think it is highly hypocritical of anyone who has voiced their opinion on this subject and do not want him as manager to have a go at anyone who will be protesting outside vp. It is exactly the same thing!

It's odd that so many people can visit an anonymous messageboard, and protest, object, disagree, and get downright angry about a decision they think is wrong. But then have the right to also accuse those wishing to protest in person as embarassing.

So exactly, what are you going to do? Do you have a plan? Are you going bang on the windows? Are you going to create placards tonight with "McLeish Out" even though he's not even got the job yet? Are you going to throw eggs at the receptionist? Or is it going to be mass stomping of feet that will get the attention of the board in between giving TalkSport/Sky/BBC/The Sun all of the material they need to make us look foolish. In fact if you are going to protest, I hope there's 40,000 of you, because if there's only a handful with your kids running around and your wives holding flasks of Bovril late into the night, you're going to make us look even more foolish.

I did actually mention that I wouldn't be going but had no objection to those wishing to make a protest in whatever manner they have decided, sorry I don't know the details. To honest a large amount of comments on here make Villa fans look foolish, it doesn't take a protest.

I do not want McLeish as a manger.  But I won't protest.  It makes us and the club look like fucking idiots.  McLeish may not be a great manager but he does have his plus points.  I'll support the club.

Like I did over Houllier.  And I didn't want him as manager either.  Never liked him.

I was also pleased when MON left.  But would never have gone as far as protesting against him.
