If he's got the boot simply for what he said at the weekend (though there's probably more to it) then it's pretty harsh because he didn't say that that female official didn't understand the offside rule, but that women didn't. Big Ron was different because his comments were made specifically about Desailly.

Soccer AM is indeed rubbish, but as Sky has now become the moral guardian of the football coverage I would hope it follows the theme through into Sky News, where it employs ex-models as presenters and Soccer AM where casual sexism is rife too.

he wasnt popular on here, but i liked Andy Gray as a pundit on Sky,
but i feel he probably wasnt that popular with people he worked with, he got set up, and they then took the opportunity to get rid,

Judging offsides in the epl is slightly more nuanced and difficult than turning up once a week to 'analyse' the extent to which a striker has "SMASHED IT".

Having heard the recording seems keys was way worse, he seems genuinely angry that a woman was working in football, didn't realise the capacity to judge offside comes from the penis.
