I have to say that's a bit harsh in my view.  Obviously Sky employ the host of blonde lovelies on Sky Sports News for their considerable knowledge of the sporting world.

Perhaps he just got too big for his boots at Sky and they've used this as a convenient excuse to get rid of him?
It's a shame because he's easily their best pundit, and no one comes close to him on Sky. I wonder what he'll do now, because I can't see other media outfits touching for a while. Perhaps he'll put his money where his mouth is and finally become a manager.
