Lots of understandable reservations but he's a very decent player on his day. I think a loan is worth the risk.

Surely if it happens it's all but a permanent signing and part of the Rogers negotiation, however we define it now.

He's going to be a £40m player.  I'm not sure what your definition of marquee is, but we won't be signing many players much more expensive than that.

3. If he does well enough, can we/should we/could we excercise the buy option and immediately flip him to a"glamour club" for a tidy profit?
