Garcia gone to Getafe.

Another pointless waste of money.

Yup - too many of those.

Yes, if only every signing was like McGinn, Rogers, Tielemans, Duran, Konsa, Luiz, Kamara, Benteke, Platt, Yorke & God. It’s really not good enough.

Yes, sorry forgot criticism isn’t allowed….

Hold on. I thought your post was criticism?

At least Garcia was a cheap gamble.

Didn't we pay £6m for him? That's still quite a lot for a gamble.

Was it £6m for him, £6m for Ned, £7m for Ozcan? These start to add up.

It only needs one to be a hit and we're laughing, like with Rogers. And we're not losing much when they move on.

These days, if you criticise, they arrest you and throw you in jail. These days.

NEW: Ben Broggio is being looked at by Club Brugge & Bolton this summer for a loan move.

Champions League for a "crack" European side or a season of struggle in the Championship at the Tough Sheet stadium. Tricky one.

No and I get that from a pure numbers perspective. But our hit rate has been deteriorating of late, or at least that’s how it feels. Hopefully a blip and we start uncovering more gems.

They are punts though so the hit rate at our level will be low, same as with every other club.

£40m plus Guessand.

I’m getting the distinct impression they don’t want Guessand

maybe forest will.

Daydreaming whilst watching Spain v France

After Barca, Madrid and Bilbao, I reckon the PL would be the preferred destination for a Spanish footballer (we pay more).

Given our Manager, management, coaches and Real Union should this be our USP.  Aim to hoover up the best youngsters from the lower league la Liga clubs and give them a home where they can thrive.  A year, or two, at Union whilst they mature, the best join Villa

easy right?

With decent players moving on and a lack of incoming players its such a relief to see Leon is still with us.

So just as he remembers how to effectively take a penalty he fucks off.

Sorry wrong thread. I was referring to Tielemans.

It’s been a tough few days as a Villa fan…

Onana injured, Tielemans gone - with the line “when Man Utd call, you don’t think twice” - except you do, you magnificent trouser trumpet as you chose Leicester over Man Utd a good few years ago.

Our midfield back to where it was when we hit our terrible run of form mid season last year, with only McGinn holding the fort.

Fabrizio Poomano trying to pawn off Morgan Rogers to Arsenal.

Various newspaper outlets in various countries telling us that Watkins is off to Turkey and that Emi is going to go to war with the club to force through a Juventus move.

Manzambi - if you believe the rumours/muppetry on the internet might not be best pleased with the club sponsor.

Any hint of good news would be welcome right now though. It seems like our entire squad is being ripped apart despite having CL football next year. And still questions remain as to how the actual bejesus we can spend any money at all due to restrictions?

I hope this summer window gets better because right now, in a few weeks time… we’re stuffed.

I’ve not seen any links to Wharton but if that’s ever a possibility it would be fantastic he’s as good as Anderson
Palace have just seen Anderson go for £115m.
Wharton has just seen Anderson sign a contract at c £250k pw (rising to £300k with bonus).

Slightly different playing styles but, in my opinion, in broadly the same class.

I appreciate there is a 'Man City' premium and nobody is likely to be able to match those figures, but even so, I would think there is zero chance of us signing Wharton.

We're what 5-6 weeks away from our first game? 'Mcginn 'holding the fort' is a bit of stretch really. Let's just see how things pan out before we claim the squad is being ripped apart. Its July.

For me, the trouble is that it was evidently clear from last season that we needed at least 2 more signings in midfield this close season. Onana’s injury and Tielemans going push that back up to 3. Kamara coming back will be a boost, however, as much I love Kamara and he’s a fantastic player, both him and Onana have injury records - probably due to strains of playing in that position.

So yeah, I’m not worried about Digne going to be honest. I think there are many upgrades on him out there. But midfield remains our crux issue that needs sorting.

In Emery we trust, and I trust our management team behind everything else to do what is right and what is needed. But it’s been a bit of a grim week really… hence my negativity.
