Are you not worried Lindelof will want more regular football and look for a move this July?

No, we will be in 4 competitions next season and there will be loads of games. He is not getting any younger and should get his fair share of games. Current contract up to June 2027.

By my calculation he is on about GBP120,000 a week. Unlikely to get that anywhere else.

Whether that was driven by salary, prestige, vibes or anything else, I wouldn't have thought anything has dramatically changed for him since he made that choice.

I went of record suggesting he play in a holding midfield role when we were struggling a few weeks ago, that might've freed Onana up when he was struggling as well but overall I think for a player of his quality, he's been underused.

He's on 22 appearances right now and likely to end the season on 25+. I doubt he'll be particularly upset about that or will have expected significantly more.

And while they haven't been flawless, neither Konsa nor Pau have done anything wrong enough that Lindelof should have taken their place for an extended period of time.

Definitely - especially as he can play either side
