I still thinks it's a bit OTT to still be celebrating them losing quite so much. But then, I don't even understand the hatred towards Birmingham City, so what do I know?

Not celebrating. Their fanbase are very very strange and a lot don’t seem to possess the ability to self-reflect, so it’s been fun watching them lashing out on sm since last night.

And you need to live amongst Them to get it. Living away from Brum and especially in a different country the local rivalries just don’t have the same energy but they’re the talk of the city for weeks before and after.

Was refreshing to hear the MotD coverage not be all out praise for Arse. They seemed to admit it wasn't a penalty and also had some mild criticism that Saka was just being used as a defender. However the best thing about it was the ending Minnie Riperton number although spoiled with game commentaries played over the top.

Probably 50% of the black people I've ever met who are interested in football have been Arsenal fans, but with no questions asked.

Not like Man Utd or Liverpool fans, "yeah you were born and grew up in Birmingham, your Dad has a Birmingham accent but he was born in Manchester? And his uncle lived in Liverpool for six months? Yeah. Okay."

Cynicism abounds.

But with Arsenal fans? "Ah, okay, you're an Arsenal fan? Well, you are black, so fair enough!"

I understand Arsenal are in an area of London with lots of black people, but what impact does that have on the ethnicity of their plastic fans in Birmingham?

I think Arsenal have simply had some pretty iconic black players in the. Premier League era, not least in their Invincibles team. I think it stems from there.

Yeah, that tends to be the case for the few black Arsenal fans I know. Probably helps that they were winning a lot too mind.
