I'm quite taken aback by the wave of joy regarding Woolwich losing but then it dawned on me. Joy. Not a word you could associate with them. Dour, bitter, pernicious and desperately negative particularly given the talent in the squad. The only team who celebrate a narrow one nil victory in the league like a cup final. There have been sides like this before but they were generally playing to their strengths because of the lack of money.

Add Piers Morgan into the mix and it all becomes clear.

Oh, and that ridiculous "song".

Mikel Arteta is just George Graham for Gen Z. They’ve utterly reverted to the late 80s/early 90s  version of themselves.

The Killers spent more time in PSG's half than Arsenal did in over 130mins. https://x.com/Pogblah/status/2061002896972419462

I still thinks it's a bit OTT to still be celebrating them losing quite so much. But then, I don't even understand the hatred towards Birmingham City, so what do I know?

Not celebrating. Their fanbase are very very strange and a lot don’t seem to possess the ability to self-reflect, so it’s been fun watching them lashing out on sm since last night.

And you need to live amongst Them to get it. Living away from Brum and especially in a different country the local rivalries just don’t have the same energy but they’re the talk of the city for weeks before and after.
